ByteDance's Dreamina Launches "Originals," a Label for AI Films and Series. Here's What It Promises Creators.

ByteDance's Dreamina has launched Dreamina Originals, a label for AI films and series. Dreamina announced it on October 8 and calls it the first professional film and series content label of its kind.

The label promises creators computing power, technology, AI creative tools, and distribution resources. Dreamina says it will work with creators from production through distribution.

What Dreamina Says Originals Offers

Dreamina describes Originals as a label "dedicated to empowering creators and supporting creative production." It lists four things it will provide: computing power, technology, AI creative tools, and top-tier distribution resources.

Dreamina says it will accompany creators across the entire content value chain. It describes the effort as exploring film and series creation in the AI era.

The company also says it wants to work with creators to define great content and great IP for the AI era. It followed the launch post with a second post linking to the project details and an application form.

Who Is Behind It

Dreamina is ByteDance's AI creative platform, a sibling to CapCut, and the international name for Jimeng. Its video generation runs on ByteDance's Seedance model, and generations spend credits.

Competitive Context

Dreamina is not alone in courting long-form AI work. Fable's "Gods Don't Give Gifts" released its trailer this week ahead of a limited U.S. and UK release on December 4, according to Deadline. Fable plans to campaign it for Best Animated Feature.

Runway lists an AI Festival and a Creative Partners Program on its site. Dreamina's label puts a model maker's own platform behind the work, with distribution resources included.

The Signal in the Noise

The pitch is a single company supplying the model, the compute, and a path to an audience. For creators already working in the same ecosystem, that removes several steps.

A label like this also works as a showcase for the tools behind it. Long-form work made with Seedance and Dreamina's tools is the kind of proof a platform wants to point to.

Creators who want to apply can find the project details and application form in Dreamina's follow-up post.

Creators who want to apply can read the project details and fill out the application form, both linked in Dreamina's follow-up post.
